GOLDEN GEORGIA
Itinerary:  Kutaisi-Gori-Tbilisi - Mtskheta-Signagi–Tsinandali -Telavi- Kvareli-Аkhaltsikhe- Borjomi- Batumi -Kutaisi
Tour duration:  9 days/ 8 nights
Day 1:  Kutaisi
Arrival; meeting at the airport; transfer to the hotel; check in.
Kutaisi City Tour, an ancient city with more than 3000 years history.
Visit to Gelati Monastery Complex (12th century), founded by the great Georgian King, David the Builder, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
Visit to Bagrati Temple (11th century). The Temple was built by King Bagrat the IIIrd.
Excursion to Prometheus's cave. Natural cave with an underground river, underground lake and even underground falls. Huge halls of stalactites and stalagmites seem even more graceful together with classical music and special lighting.
Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kutaisi.
 
Day2 : Kutaisi-Tbilisi 
Breakfast in the hotel. Trip to Tbilisi.
On the way to Gori you will visit Joseph Stalin’s house-museum. The historical museum is devoted to life of the most famous native of the city. There are many items at the exposition: illustrative pictures, documents, photos and newspaper articles. Exposition includes one of twelve copies of a posthumous mask of Stalin.
Hotel Check-in. In the second half of the day:
Tbilisi city excursion.
Old city: 
Sameba Cathedral, Freedom Square,  Sioni Cathedral(6-7th  centuries) and Anchiskhati Basilica ( 6th  century), Metekhi Temple – founded in 13th century ,building of Parliament , Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi Opera House, Kashveti church, Abanotubani (sulfur baths), the new Rike Park,  the new Peace  Bridge, Maydan and Chardin Street. Visit to  Narikala Fortress.
Free time, opportunity to buy some handmade souvenirs.
Photo session in retro studio. Photos in national Georgian dress will fill you with pleasant memories of Georgia (requires additional payment).
Visit to Abanotubani (sulfur baths). Pushkin and Duma liked to visit these baths. Procedure is healthy for the whole body (requires additional payment 20$ per hour). 
Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city. Overnight in Tbilisi.         
 
Day 3: Tbilisi- Mtskheta-Ananuri-Tbilisi
Breakfast in the hotel. 
Trip to the town of Mtskheta, a historic capital of Georgia, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The “Second Jerusalem” as they called it.   
Visit to Jvari Monastery (Cross in Georgian) 6th century. It is situated at the top of mountain   where, according to historical sources, Saint, equal to the apostles Nino erected a cross.
Visit to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), where it is believed that Jesus Christ’s tunic is buried. 
Samtavro Monastery for women (4th century). The blackberry bush since the time of Saint Nina still grows here. Sacred objects are stored in the Monastery:  the icon of Iveri Mother of God, the miracle-working icon of St.Nino, tombs of Saint King Mirian and Queen Nana. Strоll along narrow streets of the town Mtskheta.
Dinner at traditional Georgian restaurant Salobie.
Then will pass Military Road. Visit of the Architectural complex of Ananuri (16th century) – historical fortress, a citadel with the most beautiful view of the Zhinvali reservoir.
Return to Tbilisi. Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city. Overnight-Tbilisi.
 
Day 4 : Tbilisi-Signagi-Bodbe-Tsinandali-Telavi 
Breakfast in the hotel. 
Trip to historical region – Kakheti, which is famous for   traditional winemaking.
Trip to the city of love Signagi (Kakheti region). 
Walk around the city of love Signagi. It’s surrounded by an 18th century wall. You can enjoy the unbelievable view on Alazani Valley and Caucasian Ridge; 
Visit to Bodbe Monastery where St. Nino is buried. Her name is connected with the acceptance of Christianity in Georgia. Possibility to bathe in the holly spring of St. Nino.
Visit to an old wine cellar in Signagi. Wine and chacha tasting. 
Trip to Tsinandali – the residence of the Georgian princes in 19th century. Alexander Chavchavadze was the first who based production of wine on the European style in Georgia. Visit to the residence, park and wine museum. Guests also will be given an opportunity to take part in Georgian bread and khachapuri baking, cheese and churchkhela making (requires additional payment).
Trip to Telavi – an administrative center of the region.  Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city. Overnight in the hotel in Telavi. 
 
Day 5: Telavi-Alaverdi-Gremi-Nekresi-Kvareli-Tbilisi
Breakfast in the hotel. 
Visit to Alaverdi Cathedral (first quarter of 11th century) in Alazani Valley. Visit to historical part of the cellar (8th-10th century). The Turkish-Arab origin word "Alaverdi" means "blessed by God". Before Sameba Cathedral was built, Alaverdi Cathedral was the highest church construction of Georgia. 
Visit to the architectural complex Gremi. Gremi was the capital of Kingdom of Kakheti in the 16th -17th centuries.   The complex comprises the Church of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel, a three-story castle, a bell tower and wine cellar (marani). Secret tunnel leading to the river has still remained.
Visit to Nekresi Monastery. View the oldest chapel  remaining  on the territory of Georgia,  built  in the 4th century.
Trip to Kvareli.  Visit to the winery Khareba, 7.5 km long wine cellar and wine museum.    (Here, Shevardnadze invited heads of State, such as F. Castro and other known leaders). Tasting of 2 sorts of wines from the winery.
Return to Tbilisi. Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city. Overnight in the hotel in Tbilisi.
 
Day 6: Tbilisi- Akhaltsikhe- Vardzia
Breakfast in the hotel.
Akhaltsikhe Fortress- Charles Aznavour's homeland, an ancient center of Catholicism in Georgia. The complex consists of Saint Marina's orthodox church, the mosque, Catholic church, a monastery , a synagogue and the Armenian church.
Visit to cave monastic complex of Vardzia (12th -13th centuries)-19 level rocky city. About 600 rooms, churches, cells, storerooms, baths, libraries are cut throughout 900 m along the left coast of the river Kura. Vardzia is a monument of the Golden Age. 
Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city Akhaltsikhe. Overnight in the hotel in Akhaltsikhe.
 
Day 7: Akhaltsikhe-Borjomi -Batumi
Breakfast in the hotel.
Trip to Western Georgia. We will drive through the scenic mountain pass. 
Visit to Borjomi — the resort in the southwest of Georgia. The city is famous for its mineral water of the same name. A leading Georgian export and renowned for its curative powers.   
Visit to  National park of Kharagauli. Tasting of medical-mineral water from local springs. Visit to souvenir shops. 
Excursion to the Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden is located in one of the most beautiful corners of Adjara – the Green Cape. The collection of plants on the territory of the botanical garden consists of more than 5 thousand species. Several scenes of Soviet movies were shot on its territory.
Batumi city tour:
Seaside park ; temples and churches of the city ; Statue of Medea; Batumi; Piazza(the Italian style square); Sea Port ; Alphabet Tower ; moving  statue of Ali and Nino; the 6th  of May Park and Nurigel Lake;  Dolphinarium; Ministry of Justice; Adjarian House; Dancing Fountains.
Dinner at one of the restaurants of the city. Overnight in Batumi hotel.
 
Day 8: Batumi-Gonio- Ajara Mountain 
Breakfast in the hotel. 
Free day at the coast of the Black Sea.
Additional excursion is possible to the Ajara Mountain ( for an additional payment 23$), in the second half of the day.
Visit to  Gonio Fortress. Gonio Fortress was the Roman outpost in the Caucasus. Plinius II was the first to mention it in the 1st century AD.  There is a grave on the territory of fortress, which   is considered to be a tomb of the apostle Matthew – one of twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. Trip to Makhuntseti waterfall. It is considered the pearl of the Ajara Mountain.  You arrive there by way of the arch stone Makhuntseti Bridge. Visit to Adjarian Wine House . Winery in Аjara Mountain. Visit to wine cellars. Wine tasting is also possible for an additional payment.
In the evening, you will see show of Dancing Fountains.  
Gala –dinner at one of the restaurants of the city.  Overnight-Batumi. 
 
Day 9: Batumi-Kutaisi 
Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to Kutaisi airport.
